Chambersburg roundup: Gettysburg edges Trojan boys tennis team

Gettysburg 3, Chambersburg 2: The Trojans won both of the doubles matches, but the Warriors went 3-0 in singles to pin a non-league defeat on Chambersburg at Norlo Park on Monday afternoon.

The No. 1 doubles team of Camren Lesznar and Stephen Jacobs picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory for the first team point for the Trojans (2-8). The No. 2 doubles duo of Ethan Brandt and Dhruv Patel hung to win a tight match, taking sets of 6-4 and 7-5.

All three singles matches were competitive. At No. 1, Ian Flores fell 6-2, 6-4 to Spencer Kennedy, and at No. 2, Bradley Stahl fell 6-2, 6-4 to Tristan Smith.

The No. 3 singles match went three sets. Chambersburg’s Nate Heimbach won 6-2 in the first set, but Paul Kennedy rallied to take the last two sets, 6-1, 6-0.
