McConnellsburg defeated the North Star Cougars 62-55 at McConnellsburg Tuesday night.
McConnellsburg coach Joshua Lowery said “We knew coming in the Cougars where a good young shooting team that would play hard and they did just that. The Cougars outscored us in the first half to lead at halftime 38-31. We came out of halftime with the understanding of what we need to do on defense, and the young men did just that with good defensive stops in the 3rd and 4th quarter we managed to outscore the Cougars 31-17 to secure a win with a score of 62-55.”

McConnellsburg will play in the District V AA Championship at University Pittsburgh Johnstown on March 3rd 8:00pm.
