Egolf Leads Blazers Past Tigers

Nollin Egolf gave the Blazers the lead late in the 4th quarter with back to back treys to lead the Blazers past the Tigers 69-63.  Egolf had a game high 42 points with 21 of those points coming in the final quarter.  “He’s a great player and he just took over in the 4th and led them to victory “,  Tiger Coach Coffman said.  

The Tigers had a 17-15 point lead after one quarter with Broc Hostler hitting for six points.  F-M extended their lead in the second quarter and went into the half up 37-29.  “Once again we came out and played a solid first half to put ourselves in a position to win the game”, Coffman said.   

However in the 3rd quarter the Blazers switched defenses which gave the Tigers some trouble.   The Tigers also had six turnovers in the quarter.  CVCS capitalized and took a 46-45 lead at the end of the quarter.  

The two teams battled in the 4th exchanging the lead a few times before Egolf’s back to back treys gave the Blazers the lead for good.  

Evan Wingert led the Tigers with 22 points.  He added 5 rebounds and 4 assists.  Broc Hostler posted 19 points and 4 assists.  Landon Arnold added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, and 3 steals.  Riley Martin had 9 points and 6 rebounds.  Drew Goshorn chipped in 2 points and 3 assists.  

For the Blazers Nathan Minnier also finished in double digits with 12 points.
