Shalom boys and girls post wins over New Life

GIRLS: The Shalom Lady Flames defeated the  New Life Lady Rams 62-19 – The Flames found themselves down early 9-2, but fought back, getting hot from the outside, and were up 12-11 at the end of the first quarter.

The Flames’ hot outside shooting continued outscoring the Rams 50-8 for the remainder of the game.

10 players scored for Shalom. Maya Lehman led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points while providing 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Emily Rebok and Joanna Rheam had 8 points. Jaicee Keller and Chloe Martin had 7 points with Addison Adams and Madison Morretti adding 6.

Jaicee Keller led the Flame’s defense while shutting down the Ram’s Cayenne Pigeon who scored only 5 points after an 8 point first quarter.

The Flames travel next to Grace Academy to play the Lady Knights on Tuesday in an important MDCC matchup – Gametime 6:45

BOYS: Shalom 52 New Life 45 Shalom won a tough road game at New Life. In a back-and-forth game, it wasn’t until the fourth quarter that there was any separation. Bryce Martin scored 8 of his team-high 16 in the fourth quarter.
