The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers managed only five points in the second half and dropped a 40-19 decision to Grace Academy Tuesday in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference girls basketball game.
“Grace started in a press and unsettled us, and we could never really get comfortable running our offense,” Blazers coach Corey Collins said. “We played hard but just couldn’t overcome our turnovers.”
The Blazers (4-7, 2-3 MDCC) committed 21 turnovers.
Grace led only 13-9 at the end of the first quarter, but the Blazers scored only 10 points the rest of the game.
Makenna Morris scored seven points to lead the Blazers. Emmalyn Hott added six points, Victoria Price three, Reagan Witmer two and Haven Moats one. Sydney Wiegand contributed three steals and three assists, and Price pulled down eight rebounds.
