Big early lead propels Blazers to victory

CARLISLE – The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers piled up a 32-10 halftime lead and romped to a 63-36 victory over Carlisle Christian Thursday evening in a non-league boys basketball game.

“I’m happy, for the most part, with how we played tonight,” Blazers coach Austin Sanders said. “We were able to get out to an early lead and let some of the other guys get some experience and playing time. I thought Aaron played well in the post. Hopefully, we can utilize him more down there as the season progresses.”

Senior Nollin Egolf scored 16 points and added team highs in assists with seven and steals with three. Thomas Garvin scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Reece Hunsberger added seven points and a team-leading eight rebounds.
