The win moved Chambersburg (11-6, 7-5 MPC) up to No. 5 in the District 3 Class 3A rankings.

“Our emphasis was to get a clean sheet and we were able to do that while scoring three goals,” Trojan coach Corey Grove said. “Mario Weisman played a great game, with two great finishes. I thought Cristian Lopez played well in the middle for us.”

Cohen Redding scored the other goal on a penalty kick, while Goetz Dickman and Lopez had assists. Drew Cover needed to make just one save for the shutout.

Grove said, “The last two games have given us a bit of momentum going into districts (which begin Tuesday). Overall, considering this was probably our toughest schedule since I’ve been here, the regular season was a success.”
