BOYS SOCCER
West Perry 1, Greencastle-Antrim 0: The Mustangs scored a goal in the first half and weathered a comeback attempt by the Blue Devils in a Mid Penn Colonial game Wednesday night in Elliottsburg.

“This was a very tight contest,” Greencastle coach Aric Bruner said. “West Perry (10-1-1) is No. 3 in (District 3) AA for a reason and I thought we were with them the whole contest. We tied it up with 9 minutes left and it was called back on a somewhat controversial call. I’m proud of the way we responded after we gave up a goal late in the first half.”

Ethan Ford made 8 saves in goal for the Blue Devils (8-4, 6-4 MPC).
