The Shippensburg Greyhounds bounced back with 34-13 win over Susquehanna Township Thursday night after last weeks loss. The Greyhounds racked up 242 rushing and 170 passing enroute to the win.
The games first score came via the defense with a Trae Kater 45 yard interception return for the touchdown. The Hounds defense forced a punt and the offense took over on an63 11 play drive. Tucker Chamberlin hit Erby Weller for a 13 yard gain on third and five and the duo capped the drive with a nine yard strike.
Susquehanna answered with a 10 play 64 yard drive. Torin Evans hit Ryan McClain for 16 yards converting a third and 13. Dorian Smith capped the drive with a four yard run and 14-7 game at the half.
The Hounds put the game away scoring on their first three possessions of the second half. The Hounds drives were 8 for 83, 9 for 76 and 6 for 60.
On the first drive Diesel Koser ripped off a 22 yard run on fourth and one. Tu.Chamberlin found Troy Chamberlin for a 21 yard touchdown strike. The second drive Tu.Chamberlin hit Weller for 35 and Amari Kerr for 16. Kerr topped the scoring drive with a six yard run. The third drive was all Koser ripping of a 46 yard run then capping it with a one yard touchdown run.
Susquehanna added one late a 60 yard strike from Evans to Lex Cyrus.
Shippensburg travels to Gettysburg this coming Friday
