Blazers blank Faith, 4-0

MARTINSBURG, W. Va. – The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers applied constant pressure against Faith Christian and earned a 4-0 victory Thursday in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference boys soccer game.

Sam Hepler scored two goals to lead the Blazers (7-3-1, 6-2 MDCC). Gage Brookens and Cort Stouffer supplied the other goals.

“Sam Hepler had his best game of the year,” Blazers coach Stan Hott said. “He was able to get shots off and help to facilitate with Landon Kellogg a majority of the offensive pressure. We are still piecing together a full game. We have a few days off then another busy week.”

Nollin Egolf had two assists, while Kellogg, Bradley Stayman and Finlay Smith each added an assist.

Goalkeeper Gabe Beckering made 16 saves to keep Faith (3-2-1 MDCC) scoreless.
