Greencastle keeps rolling with 12-0 win over Southern Lehigh

The powerful offense and strong pitching of Greencastle 12U were on full display Thursday as Greencastle scored in every inning and powered its way to a 12-0 win over Southern Lehigh at University of Pittsburgh Bradford

Greencastle took a 1-0 in the first when they scored on a passed ball.

Greencastle erupted for five runs in the second inning. Quinton Carr lead off with a walk, Kelson Wenger singled , Spencer Long lined a run scoring double to left field plating Carr to make it 2-0, putting runners at second and third with one out. Southern Lehigh elected to walk  Cam Rakaczewski intentionally  to load the bases. One pitch later Luke Anderson made them pay when he hit a grand slam home run to give Greencastle a 6-0 lead.

Bryce Wilhide singled to start the top of the third, pinch hitter Braydyn Kanable hit the first pitch for a two run homer to make it 8-0 Greencastle.

Greencastle made it 12-0 in the fourth inning on run scoring singles from Jackson Barkdoll and Knable, a passed ball and error.

Connor Flohr pitched 2 2/3 innings of one hit ball striking out three and throwing 35 pitches, 27 for strikes. Luke Anderson pitched the final 1 1/3 allowing just one hit.

Greencastle will play Keystone in the Winner’s Bracket final  Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
