Cam Rakaczewski throws no hitter, Greencastle rolls to 18-0 win

Greencastle 12U scored in every inning, pounding out 17 hits and defeated Octorara 18-0 at Dillsburg in a game shortened to four innings by the 10 run rule Tuesday night in Section 7 play.

The hits just kept on coming for Greencastle, five players collected multiple hits, Luke Anderson and Quinton Carr each had a two run homer. Carr was 4 for 4, including a triple and home run, scored three and had 3 RBI. Connor Flohr had three hits and three RBI,  Anderson had two hits, four RBI and four runs scored. Braydyn Knable collected two hits and an RBI, Kelson Wenger had a triple and RBI, Eli Wingert knocked in a run and scored two. Spencer Long had a double and RBI, Rakaczewski had a pair of hits.

Cam Rakaczewski was brilliant on the mound again. He did not allow a hit and struck out twelve. Rakaczewski allowed his first base runner after 12 2/3 perfect innings in tournament play when he issued a two out walk to Wade Umble in the fourth inning. Rakaczewski has struck out 38 batters in 13 innings in tournament play.

Greencastle will play East Side at Dillsburg Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. the game will be broadcast on Mid Penn Broadcasting. East Side defeated Dillsburg 13-8 in a first round game Tuesday night.

Greencastle is 8-0in tournament play.

Octorara and Dillsburg will play an elimination game at 8:00 p.m.
