Greencastle scored in every inning and won the District 14 Championship for the second year in a row pounding out a 15-1 win over Carlisle at South Middleton Saturday night. Jex McDowell, Luke Anderson and Cam Rakaczewski had three hits apiece for Greencastle. McDowell had 4 RBI, Anderson and Rakaczewski each knocked in two runs. Elijah Wingert was 2 for 2 with two RBI and scored two runs.

Greencastle collected five extra base hits getting triples from Rakaczewski and Anderson and doubles from McDowell, Wingert and Rakaczewski.

Just like the previous six games, the pitching was outstanding as Luke Anderson allowed just a run on two hits, striking out seven and walking one,

Greencastle finished district play 7-0, outscoring opponents 105-6 while collecting 92 hits in the seven games.

Greencastle will move on to the Section 7 Tournament in Dillsburg July 19-23 and will play their first game at 8:00 p.m. on July 19 against the District 23 winner.

All games in the Section 7 tournament will be broadcast on Mid Penn Broadcasting.
