Greencastle wins sixth straight with 18-2 win over Shippensburg

Greencastle pounded out 15 hits enroute to an 18-2 win over Shippensburg Wednesday night at Clary Field. Greencastle erupted for eight runs in the top of the first , six more in the second and four more in the fourth inning in a game shortened by the 10 run rule.

Connor Flohr picked up a complete game victory for Greencastle allowing just one hit, striking out nine and walking four.

Cam Rakaczewski was 4 for 4 with two home runs, four RBI and scored four times, Jex McDowell went 3 for 3 with three runs scored, Quinton Carr had a double and 3 RBI. Ten Greencastle players collected at least one hit.

Greencastle is 6-0  , they have scored in 20 of the 28 innings played and have collected 77 hits in six games and outscored opponents 90-5.

Greencastle will play at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Woodcrafters Field in South Middleton. With a win Greencastle will clinch the District 14 Championship.

Jenson Henninger had a double and RBI for Shippensburg. Shippensburg will play Carlisle in an elimination game Thursday night at South Middleton.
