Greencastle 12U shuts out Gettysburg 11-0

Greencastle pounded out fifteen hits and scored in every inning, defeating Gettysburg 11-0 at Clary Field in Greencastle Saturday morning.

Jex McDowell picked up four hits including a pair of doubles, and two RBI, Cam Rakaczewski had three hits including a homerun and three RBI, Spencer Long had three hits and scored four runs, Cole Burkholder had two hits and two RBI for Greencastle.

Connor Flohr picked up the win , allowing just one hit in five innings, striking out twelve and did not issue a walk, allowing Gettysburg just one base runner. Flohr threw 64 pitches, 47 for strikes. Luke Anderson pitched the final inning walking one and registered three strikeouts.

Greencastle is now 2-0 in pool play. Gettysburg falls to 1-1.

Greencastle will play Gettysburg again on Monday night at 6:00 p.m. at Clary Field. The game can be heard on Mid Penn Broadcasting beginning at 5:50 p.m.
