The #2 seeded Southern Fulton baseball team opened the District V playoffs this evening with authority.  The Indians pounded out 13 hits and scored 17 runs in a landslide shutout vs the #7 seeded Meyersdale Red Raiders.

Sophomore, Ethan Powell had a stellar day as he pitched a perfect game through three innings while striking out 6. He also went 3-3 at the plate with 1 double.

Dane Harvey had a big day at the plate for the Indians by  driving in 5 runs with a double in the first and a home run in the second.  Trayton Younker also hit a solo long ball in the 2nd.

Tonights victory advances the Indians to the District V semifinals.  They will host the #3 seeded Fannett-Metal Tigers on Thursday, May 26 at 4:30pm.
