Chambersburg, Shippensburg and Waynesboro have qualified for the District 3 softball playoffs, although the district has not yet released the official brackets.

It appears that Chambersburg (14-5) will be the No. 4 seed in Class 6A, gaining a first-round bye and a quarterfinal home game. In the quarterfinal, on Thursday, May 26, the Trojans will host the winner of a first-round game — (12) Carlisle (11-8) at (5) Central Dauphin (13-6) — at 4:30.

In Class 5A, Shippensburg is the No. 2 seed. The Greyhounds (17-3) will host No. 15 Donegal (13-6) in a first-round game on Monday at 4:30.

Waynesboro (12-7) is listed as the No. 16 seed and will play Monday in a first-round game at No. 1 Exeter Township (16-4) at 4:30.

Greencastle-Antrim (11-9) just missed qualifying, coming in at No. 17.
