SoFo Indians took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Fannett Metal.
The Indians jumped on top early in the first inning, when Jett Burger singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Fannett Metal battled back from a 3-0 deficit when they scored three runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by Fannett Metal was led by Rylin Sharar and Drew Goshorn, who each had RBIs in the inning.
SoFo Indians evened things up at five in the bottom of the fifth inning when Dane Harvey hit a solo homer.
The game was tied at five with the Indians (11-3, 10-1) batting in the bottom of the seventh. Kasey Fitz and Ethan Powell were both hit by pitches to start the 7th. Wyatt Appleby was able to induce 2 shallow fly outs on the next two batters to set the dramatic stage. Trayton Younker then singled on a 1-0 count to right field to score Kasey Fitz.
Konner Pittman led the SoFo Indians to victory on the mound. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out three.
Wyatt Appleby took the loss for Fannett Metal. The pitcher surrendered one run on one hit over two-thirds of an inning, walking zero.
Jett Burger started the game for SoFo Indians. Burger allowed three hits and five runs over four innings, striking out one. Landon Arnold started the game for Fannett Metal. The bulldog surrendered five runs on three hits over five innings, striking out two.
Burger went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead SoFo Indians in hits.
Sharar led Fannett Metal with four hits in four at bats.
