Greencastle-Antrim 12, Boiling Springs 2: The Blue Devils rapped out 12 hits and scored in four of six innings to swamp the Bubblers in a Mid Penn Colonial game Monday afternoon on the road.
Greencastle (7-8, 5-5 MPC) has now won three straight games.
G-A leadoff batter Sydney Orndorff remained on a tear, going 4-for-5, including a triple, and scoring two runs. In the last three game, Orndorff is 10-for-11 and has scored eight runs.
Emma Broadwater went 3-for-3 and drove in two runs, while Caroline Logsdon had two hits and compiled four RBIs. Logsdon had a run-scoring grounder early in the game and then walloped a double with the bases loaded in the sixth to plate three runs. Abby Stouffer belted two doubles and Meadow Gambacurta also had a pair of hits.
Sophie Layton took the mound for Greencastle and allowed Boiling Springs only four hits and five walks, and both of the Bubblers’ runs were unearned.
