Southern Fulton defeats Hancock 15-1

The Southern Fulton baseball team (10-3, 9-1) concluded a hectic week by beating Hancock 15-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Indians lead from start to finish and pounded out 12 hits.

SoFo put up seven runs in the fourth inning.  Ethan Mellott, Zach Price, Levi Souders, Hunter Ward, and Dane Harvey powered the big inning with RBIs.

Mellott was the winning pitcher for SoFo Indians earning his first win of the season. The sophomore pitcher lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three and walking one.  Ethan Powell threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Blaire Ray took the loss for Hancock. The hurler surrendered 13 runs on ten hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four.

SoFo Indians collected 12 hits.  Powell, Kasey Fitz, and Konner Pittman each managed multiple hits for SoFo Indians.  Powell went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead SoFo Indians in hits.
The Indians host ICC foe Fannett-Metal on Tuesday at 4:30pm.
