Gabriella Sabatino

Chambersburg 8, St. Maria Goretti 3: The Trojans hosted the Gaels in a non-league contest at Trojan Stadium on Monday night and earned their second victory of the season.

“It was a great game all-around,” Chambersburg coach Keara Allshouse said. “We played both halves with intensity and controlled the temp of the game.”

Gabriella Sabatino led the scoring for the Trojans (2-3) with four goals. Ridglee Flohr and Hannah Woolf each contributed a pair of goals.

Sabatino took over the team lead in goals with 12. Woolf has 10 and Flohr has six.

Allshouse said, “Elissa Gamby-Mickey helped seal possession with five draw controls. The entire team rode hard after every turnover no matter where it happened on the field.”
