Greencastle-Antrim 25, James Buchanan 9: It was not exactly a pitchers’ duel when the Blue Devils hosted the Rockets in a five-inning Mid Penn Colonial game on Friday — the teams combined for 34 runs, 20 walks and 16 hits.

Meadow Gambacurta had a productive day at the plate for Greencastle (3-1, 3-1 MPC), hitting a three-run home run and a two-run single and driving in 7 runs. Emma Broadwater also sent a shot over the fence, and hers came with the bases loaded for a grand slam. Abby Stouffer also had a solo homer and a single.

Abbi Cunningham was 2-for-4 with 3 runs batted in and Caroline Logsdon went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Cunningham and Sydney Orndorff drilled doubles.

Also for G-A, Orndorff, Makayla Jerin, Broadwater, Bailey Leckron and Mackenzie Wingert (2) had runs driven in.

Wingert earned the win in relief, pitching 4 innings and allowing 4 hits and 3 runs.
