The Tigers went on the road Wednesday evening and dropped a 61-48 contest to the Bulldogs. The Tigers trailed 14-11 after the 1st quarter of play. In the second quarter the Bulldogs continued their hot shooting knocking down a total of eight treys in the first half to take a 33-18 lead at the half. In the second half the Tigers turned up the pressure and trimmed the lead to 8 points, but they could pull no closer as the Bulldogs came away with a 61-48 win. “Give them credit, they shot the ball extremely well all night long and deserved to win tonight. We battled hard in the second half and made a nice run, but it just wasn’t our night”, Fannett-Metal Coach Paul Coffman said.
The Tigers put three guys in double figures as Wyatt Appleby, Ayden Warren and Hunter Hill all had 13 points. Luke Coffman added 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Riley Martin had 8 rebounds and Evan Wingert had 6 rebounds. The Bulldogs on senior night were led by Wyatt Buell with 18 points including 5 treys, while Josh Emeigh added 15 points.
F-M junior varsity won a 36-30 decision .
Fannett-Metal will return home on Friday night against Southern Fulton. The JV game is scheduled to start at 6:00 followed by Senior night ceremony and the varsity game.
