Chambersburg 3, Mifflin County 0: The Trojans had little trouble dominating the Huskies in a Mid Penn Commonwealth match on Thursday night at CASHS Field House, taking games of 25-10, 25-11 and 25-12.
Chambersburg (8-7, 4-6 MPC) won its third straight match.
“This was a great chance to get everyone in and give them an opportunity to play,” Trojan assistant coach Bobby Culler said. “The entire team played with passion and purpose tonight. We executed well and had fun. It was also nice to celebrate Parent’s Night with a win.”
Trinity Rivera led in two categories — kills (6, with Kate Etter) and digs (7). Raelyn Johnson had 11 service points to lead the way, Ashli Ganoe had 11 assists, and Morgan Stockslager and Ty’zhira Kelley each had 2 blocks.
Also for Chambersburg, Riley Lilley had 10 points, Addi Kegerries had 4 kills, Etter had 7 assists and Johnson, Emily Marquez and Karley Skultety each had 6 digs.
Chambersburg 4, Waynesboro 1: The Maidens scored the first goal on a breakaway, but the Trojans tied it by halftime and rolled in the second half to win a non-league encounter at Trojan Stadium on Thursday night.
“We tied it by halftime, then really worked the ball around, which we’ve done well the last two games,” Chambersburg coach Ed Franchi said. “We need to continue to do that and play with maximum effort. Addie Lloyd has been playing really well, as has Bianca Sommers. They are controlling the middle well.”
Ahsia Thomas scored from a pass by Lindsay Swanger in the first half for the Trojans (7-8-1). In the second half, Aubrey Pyne, Thomas and Lily Nichter hit the back of the net, with assists going to Kat Bedris, Lloyd and Thomas. Keeper Bridget Kemerer made 3 saves.
True Benchoff scored the goal for Waynesboro.
Mifflin County 4, Chambersburg 0: The Huskies picked up a Mid Penn Commonwealth win over the Trojans at Trojan Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Chambersburg is 9-12-1 (0-12 MPC).
