Blazers fall to Grace in 5 sets

The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers took Grace Academy to the limit before falling  3-2 Monday in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference girls volleyball match.

The Blazers (6-6, 4-6 MDCC) appeared headed to victory after taking games of 25-22 and 25-20 to begin the match. However, Grace (7-6 MDCC) prevailed 25-18 and 25-16 before emerging with a 15-13 victory in the final set.

For the Blazers, Regan Bard had 30 assists, six aces and six digs. Morgan Householder chipped in with 19 kills and nine digs. Kendra Bard had eight kills and three aces, Julia Waltz contributed three kills and two blocks, Sarah Vandersleen made two blocks, Peyton Timmons added 16 digs, and Evelyn Ebersole had five digs.
