Northern York 3, Greencastle-Antrim 1: The Blue Devils tied the match 1-1 with a 25-16 win in the second game, but the Polar Bears took the final two to win a Mid Penn Colonial match Saturday and end a four-game win streak by Greencastle.
“We knew it would be a tough match, missing three players (two starters) this match,” G-A coach Corry Eagler said. “Northern played better than I’ve seen them play before and they made it hard for our hitters to put the ball away. Our serving came on strong starting in set two.”
For the Blue Devils (6-4, 5-3 MPC), Alayna Welsh contributed 3 aces, 12 service points and 18 digs, while Madeline Eagler put up 3 aces, 12 points and 24 assists.

Northern York 5, Greencastle-Antrim 1: The Blue Devils dropped a Mid Penn Colonial game against Northern on Friday, but improved since their first meeting, a 9-0 Polar Bear win.
“We knew Northern was going to be a tough opponent,” G-A coach Emiley Filepas said. “I felt that as a team we brought the intensity and worked as one unit. We did a great job moving the ball up the field when we had the opportunities offensively.”
Louise Narducci scored the goal for Greencastle (6-4, 4-2 MPC), assisted by Abbi Cunningham. Goalie Jade Erazo made 14 saves.
Olivia Anderson scored two goals for Northern (8-0).
