Shippensburg Tops Waynesboro 33-14

The Shippensburg Greyhounds (5-0, 2-0 MPC) rushed the ball 53 times for 305 yards and five touchdowns to roll over the Waynesboro Indians 33-14 in Mid Penn Colonial action Friday night in Shippensburg.

Seven different Greyhound backs got carries led by Traevon Kater who rushed 10 times for 99 yards.  He was followed by Amari Kerr with 11 rushes for 71 yards, Nathan Beam, 14 for 56 yards, and Diesel Koser with 12 for 48 yards.

Waynesboro, (3-2, 1-1 MPC) was held to 178 total yards and turned the ball over four times on three interceptions and a fumble.

The Greyhounds led 26-7 at halftime and scored on the opening drive of the second half to essentially put the game away.

Shippensburg travels to Mechanicsburg next Friday night while Waynesboro will host Greencastle.
