WAYNESBORO — In the first event of the fall sports season in Franklin County, Waynesboro dominated a Mid Penn Colonial Division golf match at Waynesboro Country Club on Thursday afternoon.
The Indians produced the top four golfers and scored 42 strokes fewer than runner-up Greencastle-Antrim to win handily.
Evan Stein fired a one-over par 73 to lead the way for ‘Boro, followed by teammates Dylan Byers (75), Tyler Fortney (80) and Ella Lowry (82). The Indians scored 310, while Greencastle posted a score of 352.
For the Blue Devils, Shea Toomey placed fifth with an 84 and teammate Cooper Swam was one stroke back in sixth place.
Shippensburg took third place as Vance Kunkle tied for ninth with 89 and Jeremy Thomas shot 90 to tie for 11th.
For James Buchanan, which placed fifth, Larry Singer tied for 11th with a 90.
