Upper Providence defeats Greencastle 11-1 forces deciding game Friday

Greencastle suffered its first tournament loss falling to Upper Providence Thursday 11-1 in four innings. The two teams play tomorrow for the Pennsylvania State Little League Championship and a berth in the East Regionals in Bristol, CT. Friday at 1:00 p.m. in Conyngham,PA. The game will broadcast live on Mid Penn Broadcasting.

Upper Providence won its fourth consecutive game after losing to Greencastle 3-1 on Sunday.

Greencastle got the early 1-0 lead on Cam Rakaczewski’s homer in the first.

Upper Providence tied it in the bottom of the first on a single by Adam Ludwig. Sam Buckley hit a long three run homer in the second to make it 4-0. Upper Providence ended the game with a seven run bottom of the fourth highlighted by a Tommy Sergio two run homer and a game ending two run double from Buckley.
