Mid Penn announces spring all-star teams

The Mid Penn Conference released its list of all-stars for the 2021 spring season on Wednesday and 14 area players were named to the first team, with another 13 placed on the second team.

The sports included baseball, softball, boys volleyball and boys and girls lacrosse.

Below are the players from Franklin County who were honored:

First team — Greencastle: Logan Layton, P-SS. Waynesboro — Josh Clapsaddle, CF; Bryce Shaffer, 3B; Maddox Brooks, C; Fred Guarino, 1B.
Second team — Greencastle: Andrew Kerns, P-SS; Caiden Smith, OF. Shippensburg — Erby Weller, OF; Tucker Chamberlin, P-SS.

SOFTBALL
Commonwealth Division
First team — Chambersburg: Hannah Runk, Alyssa Brechbill.
Second team — Chambersburg: Erin Pattillo, Samantha Paetow.
Colonial Division
First team — Greencastle: Bailee Martin-Irving, Adrianna Beeler, Sydra Royer. Shippensburg: Cierra Bender, Jess Lindsay
Second team — Greencastle: Sydney Orndorff. Shippensburg — Ally Thrush. Waynesboro: Kyla Kimple.
