Joelle Rheam

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Chambersburg 57, Central Dauphin East 13: The Trojans put up a strong defensive game, holding the Panthers to no more than 4 points in any quarter, and registered a Mid Penn Commonwealth victory Tuesday night on the road.

Chambersburg (4-9, 3-7 MPC) snapped a four-game losing skid.

Erin Pattillo scored 7 of her 9 points in the first quarter when the Trojans raced to a 15-2 lead. A very good second period made the score 37-6 at halftime.

“It was nice to get a W in the win column again,” Chambersburg coach Justin English said. We executed well and also shot the ball much better than we have in the last few games.”

Rosalynn Diehl led the Trojans with a career-high 12 points and the 9 points for Joelle Rheam were also the most in her career.
