GIRLS BASKETBALL
Greencastle-Antrim 49, West Perry 33: The Blue Devils outscored the Mustangs in every quarter, but never really pulled away until late in their Mid Penn Colonial victory Tuesday night on the road.
Mia Libby scored 9 of her 14 points in the first half to help get Greencastle (8-1, 7-1 MPC) going, and Sayge Wilhide popped in 12 of her 18 points in the second half.
In a physical battle under the boards, Lauren Pool came down with 12 rebounds and Olivia Winslow added 7.
“This is exactly the type of game we needed — tough and physical on the road,” G-A coach Mike Rhine said. “We had to battle through a couple of injuries during the game and others are stepping up. Mia and Lauren really elevated their games when we most needed it.”
Wilhide knocked six 3-pointers to boost her career total to 152. Libby added 7 assists and Pool also had 6 points.
