GIRLS BASKETBALL
Harrisburg 54, Chambersburg 32: The Trojans trailed Harrisburg by only 4 points at halftime, but cold shooting caught up with them in a Mid Penn Commonwealth defeat to the Cougars on Monday night.
“Cold shooting killed us, as well as turnovers,” Chambersburg coach Justin English said. “As a team we shot 16% (9-for-53) from the floor.
“Before the game we talked about capitalizing on their mistakes. We definitely had many good opportunities, but we didn’t step up.”
Allie List led the Trojans (1-4, 1-3 MPC) with 8 points, while Kiki Walker and Erin Pattillo each scored 5.
For Harrisburg, Ah’Nae Robinson led with 14 points.
