Maidens volleyball defeats West Perry in season finale 3-0

The Maidens volleyball team closed out the regular season with straight set win on the road against the West Perry Mustangs 25-4, 25-10, 25-21 to finish 13-1 on the season and 12-0 in the conference.  The Maidens finished as Mid-Penn Colonial Division Champions.

The evening was led by Sophia Johnson 10 kills; 10 blocks; Gracie Vaughn 8 kills, 3 blocks and Leah Helman 5 kills, 12 assists, 5 digs and 3 blocks.  Slaydon Fisher added 4 kills, Brianna Gladfelter 5 digs, a kill and an ace and Emily Channing 14 assists, 2 aces.

The Maidens will host the opening round of District 3 playoffs against the Hershey Trojans at 7pm on Thursday evening.  All tickets are sold in advance and can be purchased by contacting the Waynesboro High School Athletic department until they are sold out.
