Susquenita: No stats were available vs. Upper Dauphin … Two weeks ago vs. Newport, the Blackhawks fumbled 3 times in the first quarter and trailed 20-0 at halftime … RB Austin Kenny finished with 116 yards and the lone TD, a 3-yard TD run … Freshman QB Derek Gibney completed 3 of 7 passes for 86 yards.
Coaches outlook: “Against Annville, in my opinion, they won the game in the trenches,” JB coach Cliff Pine said. “Up front offensively and defensively we did not fire off the ball. And we missed a lot of tackles. Susquenita is almost identical to us size wise and they run a similar offense and defense to what Annvile ran so this week we practiced what we didn’t do well against them. We just have to need to do a better job up front getting off the ball and we have to establish our blocks. Defensively we have to make tackles by breaking down and wrapping.”
