MECHANICSBURG — Mechanicsburg quarterback Micah Brubaker came into Friday’s football game against Greencastle-Antrim with a burgeoning reputation.
He did nothing but enhance it in the Wildcats’ 48-0 Mid Penn Colonial victory.
Brubaker ran 15 times for 223 yards and touchdowns of 6, 60 and 72 yards, and completed 6-of-9 passes for 29 yards as Mechanicsburg (3-0, 3-0 MPC) rolled to a 35-0 halftime lead for the second straight week.
His teammate Taylor Shearer added 11 carries for 127 yards, including scoring runs of 52, 12 and 12.
Greencastle (1-2, 1-2 MPC) managed only 68 yards on offense. David Niebauer gained 35 yards on 7 carries and QB Zach Cole hit on 6-of-18 passes for 16 yards and an interception.
