Blazers knock off Faith, 3-1

The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers came away with a huge Mason-Dixon Christian Conference girls volleyball victory Friday, defeating second-place Faith Christian 3-1.

The Blazers (7-4, 6-3 MDCC) suffered a 25-23 defeat in the first game before rallying for three straight victories of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-13.

The Blazers knocked Faith (7-2 MDCC) out of a first-place tie with Calvary (8-1). The Blazers have pretty much wrapped up at least the No. 3 seed in the MDCC playoffs later this month.

Regan Bard led the Blazers with 31 assists. Morgan Householder contributed 14 kills, 11 digs and three aces. Emilee Beam registered 14 kills and nine digs, Ryleigh Timmons had 20 digs, Kendra Bard served three aces and Niki Schussler added six digs.

CVCS won the JV match, 2-0.
