Boy’s Basketball 2/18/20 Southern Fulton Moves on to DV Semi Final

Southern Fulton defeated Johnstown Christian Tuesday evening in the first round of the PIAA District 5 playoffs by a score of 59 to 33. The Indians (16-7) took a 21 to 2 lead at the end of the first period and cruised to the win. Southern Fulton was led by Dylan Melton with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. Konner Pittman had 13 points. Josh Stocker had 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block. Isaac Fitz had 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Dane Harvey added 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block, while Justin Morris added 4 rebounds and 12 assists. Coach Jeremy Hann commented, “We did what we had to do tonight. They played zone and stayed in it. We wanted to run some stuff, get our boys some time and get
out injury free. We accomplished that.” Johnstown Christian was led by L. Weaver with 9 points and 4 rebounds. Rebounds – JC 22 SF 25. Turnovers – JC 29 SF 9. Southern Fulton will travel to Bedford on Friday, February 21, to play Shade (85 to 56 winner over Shanksville) in the DV Semifinals at 7:00.
