Everett 66 Forbes Road 12

Everett, Pa. – Kaitlyn Maxwell continued her torrid pace as she scored a game high 29 points to lead Everett (16-1, 13-0 ICC) over Forbes Road (6-15, 2-12 ICC) 66 to 12. Quincy McMath led the Cardinals with 5 points. Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin commented, “Not much to say on this one. We were out everything’d tonight. As a team when you only make 2 field goals you have no chance to win. Rebounds they won 28 – 14, turnovers they only had 8 compared to our 25. Good things don’t happen with stats like those. We will regroup and pull it back together to finish the season.” JV – EHS 49 FR 23 (FR – McKenna Rohrer 10 points). The Cardinals will finish the regular season, when they travel to Shade on Thursday at 6:00.

Forbes Road 48 Belleville Mennonite 30

Belleville, Pa. – Forbes Road (2-16) picked up a non league win against Belleville Mennonite 48 to 30. Caleb Hershey led the Cardinals with 17 points. Jonas Shaneman added 10 points in the win. Forbes Road Coach Tyler Gelvin commented, “Belleville took a 2 point lead into the half and we made a few minor adjustments and were able to pull away in the second half.  We shot the ball about as poorly as we could and were able to be in the game at half.  The second half we played tough defense and our shots started falling and that was the difference in the game.  Caleb Hershey was ice cold in the first half and came out hot in the third quarter.  He made a few open looks and it really opened things up inside for our big guys and penetration to the basket for some easy looks.  It was a nice team win for the boys.  They stayed focused on executing when things could have got out of hand.” The Cardinals will finish the season when they host Everett on Tuesday at 6:00.
