Southern Fulton 57 Fannett Metal 49

Willow a Hill, Pa. – Southern Fulton defeated Fannett Metal (5-15, 3-10) Friday evening in an ICC matchup. The Indians (13-6, 10-3 ICC) went up 14 to 5 at the end of the 1st period and never trailed the rest of the way. SF was led by Gabe Stotler with 12 points and  7 rebounds. Josh Stocker had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Isaac Fitz had 7 points, and 6 rebounds. Konner Pittman had 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. Justin Morris added 5 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals.

The Tigers were led in scoring by Hunter Hill with 18 points. Hill also has 4 steals and 4 rebounds.  Luke Coffman scored 13 points with a pair of steals.  Colton Friese added 8 points with 3 steals and Ayden Warren chipped in 6 points and a pair of steals.  Wyatt Appleby had 3 points and 4 assists.  Darston Warren had 6 rebounds.  Fannett Metal Coach Paul Coffman commented, “We struggled offensively in the first half, and we were 9 for 23 from the foul line (39%) for the game.  SF was 13-17 from the line.  I liked the energy we played with this evening and when it looked like they would pull away, we came right back and battled to the end.” Rebounds- SF 32 FM 24. Turnovers – SF 18 FM 13 Southern Fulton will host Bellwood-Antis in a makeup game on Saturday. Fannett Metal will travel to Northern Bedford on Tuesday for a 6:30 start.

McConnellsburg 60 Forbes Road 27

McConnellsburg, Pa. – McConnellsburg (5- 14, 4-9 ICC) got the best of county rival Forbes Road (1-16, 0-13 ICC) on Friday night with a 62 to 27 win. Zander Sipes led the Spartans with 15 points and 3 steals while Austin Johnson added 14 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 blocks. Walker Funk contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds. Garrett Bunch had 4 points , 5 assists, and 7 rebounds. Gerald Weller added 7 points and 8 rebounds and Johntell Babcock chipped in 4 points and an assist. Spartan Coach Josh Lowery commented, “It was a great team win tonight . Hats off to Forbes Road they never stopped playing hard.” JV – MHS 58 FR 21 (MHS Landon Ramsey and Logan Hoffman 9 points each). Forbes Road will host Everett on Tuesday at 6:00. McConnellsburg will host Tussey Mt. on Tuesday at 6:00.

Southern Fulton 36 Mountain Ridge 27

Frostburg, Md. – Southern Fulton (12-7) made the long trip to Frostburg, Md. and picked up a non league win against Mountain Ridge 36 to 27. Lindsey Hollenshead had 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks.  Hailey Mellott added 8 points and 5 rebounds. Southern Fulton Coach Joe Hollenshead commented, “Our girls played well for their 8th game in 12 days.  We are learning how to finish tough games with a win.” JV – Mountain Ridge 36 Southern Fulton 24 ( SF – Emma Wilson 8 points). Southern Fulton will host Southern Huntingdon on a Monday at 6:00.
