G-A wrestlers tripped up by JB, 33-30

James Buchanan 33, Greencastle-Antrim 30: The Blue Devils won five of the nine bouts wrestled, but a pair of forfeits turned the tide in a Mid Penn Colonial wrestling match Thursday night.

Greencastle (1-12, 0-6 MPC) rallied from an early 12-0 deficit from two forfeits to take a 24-21 lead after Adam Booze notched a pin at 152 pounds.

But the Rockets (1-5 MPC) received pins from Logan Miller at 170 and Hunter Smith at 182 to wrap up the win, before Jack Sullivan scored a pin in the final bout for G-A.

Also winning for the Blue Devils by pin were Garrett Keener (120), Wesley Shubert (138) and Jared Miller (145). Keener and Hayden Shirk were locked in a tight bout in the second period. Shirk went ahead 5-3 on a takedown, but Keener took him down and pinned him.

For JB, John Stoner decisioned Lorcan Wright at 126, 2-0, with a third-period reversal the only points of the match.
