McConnellsburg, Pa. – When the Spartans and Cardinals meet, you can usually count on an exciting game and this one didn’t disappoint. McConnellsburg (3-7, 1-6 ICC) held off Forbes Road 2-8, 1-6 ICC) and picked up an Inter County Conference victory 51 to 47. Katelyn Truax led the Spartans with 16 points and 18 rebounds. Lainie Glenn had 15 points and Matty Ross added 13 points. Quincey McMath led the Cardinals with 17 points and Hanna Skiles added 16 points. Rebounds – MHS 35 FR 20. Turnovers – MHS 18 FR 10. Forbes Road Coach Jamie Gelvin commented, “We had plenty of opportunities to take this one. We just missed way too many free throws to be able to win.” JV – MHS 40 FR 16 (MHS – Brianna Kylor and Kendal Truax 7 points, FR Heidi Strait 10 points) Forbes Road will host Hancock on Monday at 6:00. McConnellsburg will host Southern Huntingdon on Monday at 6:00.

Southern Fulton 53 Fannett Metal 50

Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett-Metal (7-5, 3-4 ICC) hosted Southern Fulton in a clash of ICC divisional opponents.  Southern Fulton (6-2, 4-1 ICC) came out victorious by a margin of 53-50.  Southern Fulton held a 31-22 halftime lead only to have that lead erased to 3 in the final minute of the game.  The last eight seconds of the game saw Southern Fulton miss a foul shot of which Fannett-Metal was able to secure the rebound and race down the court for a last second shot.  As the buzzer sounded, the last second shot rimmed out.  Fannett-Metal had 3 players in double digits Hartman 13, Hill 10, and Hoffmann 10.  Southern Fulton had Hollenshead 17, in double digits.
