By Matt Kellam
Shippensburg- The Shippensburg Greyhounds scored the first 11 points of the game and didn’t look back and will move to the championship game of the 46th annual Shippensburg Holiday tournament, with a 68-35 win over Delone Catholic. The Greyhounds will face off against Susquehanna Township who fought off a late rally to top Octarara, 81-76 in the opening game.

Shippensburg, which has won 7 in a row, was led by Collin Taylor who scored a game high 21 points to go along with 13 rebounds.  Jeremy Taylor added 16.

For Delone, the Keller brothers, Colton and Corbyn, both scored 12 in a losing effort.

Shippensburg coach Ray Staver applauded the defensive effort by his team.  “That’s the lowest output anybody has had against us this year.  We wanted them under 45 points.”

Looking ahead to the championship game Staver said about the Indians, “We’re really going to have to step up and play well.” They’ve got length; they’re quick. We’re going to have to get back on defense and limit them to one shot.”

Octarara will face Delone Catholic at 6 followed by the championship game.
