Blazers tie, lose at tournament

DAYTON, Tenn. – The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers played to a tie and suffered a loss in the National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) boys soccer tournament Wednesday.

The Blazers (14-7-2) tied Andrews Academy of Michigan 2-2 before losing a 5-1 decision to Our Savior New American.

In the first game, Kenneth Hott scored both Blazer goals on assists from Max Crawford and Ryan Winters. Goalkeeper Jack Gabler made nine saves for the Blazers, who trailed 2-1 at halftime.

In the second game, the Blazers fell behind 5-0 at halftime before Caleb Eckert scored on an assist from Hott.
