JB football loses fourth straight

The scoring drought ended for James Buchanan, but the losing streak did not.

Turnovers and quarterback sacks led to a fourth straight loss for the Rockets, a 29-6 setback to the St. John’s Prospect Hall Vikings Friday night.

JB (2-5) had two punts blocked, one which was returned for a touchdown, fumbled three times, one of which was returned for a touchdown. And quarterback Sebastian Wise was sacked 8 times for negative 36 yards.

The Rockets did manage to score their first points in the last 15 quarters when Wise hooked up with Caden Stoner late in the fourth quarter for a 5-yard TD pass.

JB’s next game is Saturday, Oct. 12 as it hosts Cesar Chavez (Md.0 at 1 p.m.
