Southern Fulton 2 Northern Bedford 1

Warfordsburg, Pa. – Northern Bedford scored just one minute and 56 seconds into the game Tuesday afternoon at Southern Fulton (7-1, 4-1 ICC). However, the Lady Indians were able to quickly bounce back and control the remainder of the game. Despite only scoring two goals of their own, Southern Fulton outshot Northern Bedford 25 to 4. Lauren Varner scored for the Indians assisted by Lydia Hiller and Hiller netted a goal on a penalty kick. Goalkeeper Jenna Dere recorded 3 saves in the match. Southern Fulton will travel to Fannett Metal on Thursday at 4:00.

McConnellsburg, Pa. – The Lady Spartans (4-5) lost their fourth straight game night falling to Saint Maria Gotetti by a score of 4-1.  McConnellsburg will host Northern Bedford on Thursday at 7:00.

Warfordsburg, Pa. – Even though Southern Fulton (7-2, 3-2 ICC) outshot Northern Bedford 40 to 4, they were only able to net 1 goal, which was all that was needed to defeat the Black Panthers 1 to 0. Darwin Reyes scored for the Indians on an assist by Tyler Youngblood. Southern Fulton Coach Hervey Hann commented, “Once again we were able to get the shots, but just wide or high by less than a foot. The defense played an excellent game keeping the ball on their side of the field 75% of the time. We have 2 more games this week and we need to keep the momentum going.” Southern Fulton will host Fannett Metal on Thursday at 4:00.

Waterfall, Pa. – Forbes Road (0-10) hosted the Blue Jays of Johnstown Christian Academy and fell 1 to 0 in a non league matchup. The Cardinals will host Belleville Mennonite on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
