The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers celebrated Kenneth Hott’s career scoring milestone by claiming a 3-1 victory over St. Maria Goretti Thursday in a non-league boys soccer game.
Hott scored the 100th and 101st goals of his career to lead the Blazers (3-3-1).
“We played a good game,” Blazers coach Stan Hott said. “We’re still not getting a full 80 minutes from all players. But we are improving.”
Isaac Kauffeldt opened the scoring for the Blazers early in the first half. Hott then scored on an assist from Max Crawford to give the Blazers a 2-0 lead going into halftime. Hott’s second goal came less than a minute into the second half.
Goretti spoiled the shutout by scoring with about seven minutes left and then had another shot glance off the post late in the contest.
Jack Gabler made 24 saves in goal for the Blazers.
