Chambersburg rdp 5/1: Boys lacrosse picks up 5th straight win

Chambersburg 10, Northern York 4: The Trojans stayed on a roll, picking up their fifth consecutive victory Wednesday with a 10-4 Mid Penn verdict over the Polar Bears.

Chambersburg goalie Angel Santos helped his team with 14 saves, including a huge save in the second quarter.

“He gave us a huge game,” Trojan coach Paul Flohr said. “It was a well-played game and a controlled win for us.”

Northern was tied 3-3 with Chambersburg (7-6, 6-6 MPC) after one period, but by the time the fourth quarter started, the Trojans led 10-3.

Aidan Brechbill led the scoring with three goals, Haden Ocker had two goals and an assist, Austin Brookens and Klein Burkholder each posted a pair of goals, Dom Marangoni had a goal and an assist and Grayson Hopple and Thomas Elia each had an assist.

Burkholder led in ground balls with seven and Hopple added five. Nash Bothe helped Chambersburg win the face-off battle, 8-7.
