McConnellsburg, Pa.- Southern Fulton (0-1, 0-1 ICC) traveled to McConnellsburg (1-1, 1-0 ICC) and dropped a league contest 9 to 5. Destiny Hall led the Spartans 12 hit attack by going 3 for 4 with a home run. Sami Hensley also homered for McConnellsburg and went 2 for 3 from the plate. Matty Ross and Kailey Swope both added 2 hits a piece. Jesse Covalt led the Indians going 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI’s. McConnellsburg Coach Dana Winters commented, “We hit the ball well today.” McConnellsburg is scheduled to host Tussey Mt tomorrow at 4:30, while Southern Fulton is scheduled to host Southern Huntingdon tomorrow at 4:30.

Fannett Metal 15 Tussey Mt. 1

Saxton, Pa. – Fannett Metal (1-0, 1-0 ICC) picked up an Inter County Conference win over Tussey Mt. behind some strong pitching in which Jade Rhodes and Klarissa Miley combined to throw a no-hitter. The Tigers came out on top 15-1. The Tigers showed patient hitting, racking up 12 hits and 12 walks. Leading the way offensively with multiple hits was Senior Morgan Ritchey with 4 hits and 4 RBI’s, while Freshman Klarissa Miley had a perfect day at the plate, reaching base 6 times going 3-3 along with 3 walks. Jade Rhodes picked up the win, throwing 4 innings, while striking out 6 and allowing 1 unearned run. Miley finished off the game in the circle, throwing 3 innings with 4 strike outs. FM’s next game is at home on Friday against Rockwood at 4:30.

Orbisonia, Pa. – Forbes Road (0-1, 0-1 ICC) traveled to Southern Huntingdon and fell to the Rockets in 3 innings 18 to 3. Forbes Road will travel to NBC for a 4:30 start on Thursday, March 28.
