Waynesboro placed 10 of its 14 wrestlers in the top six, but only four were in the top four to qualify for the District 3 Class 3A tournament next weekend.
Competing in the Section IV tournament at South Western, the Indians claimed two championships and two fourths. In addition, ‘Boro had five wrestlers end up in fifth place and one was sixth.
Freshman Bodie Rouzer claimed first place at 113. He went 3-0 and defeated No. 1 seed Zach Emory of York Suburban in the final by pin in 4:43.
At 138, Matt McCann beat the top seed in the semifinals, then handled Brooks Gable of Dallastown 6-4 in the final.
The two fourth-placer finishers were Laken Rouzer at 132 and Carson McGregor at 160.

Rockets advance 1: James Buchanan took only four wrestlers to the Class 2A Section I tournament at Susquenita, but one qualified for the District 3 tournament.
At 195, Hunter Smith compiled a 2-2 record to place 5th and advance to districts.
